A 10-year nightmare over rape conviction is over: Brian Banks spent years in prison, branded a rapist. Then his accuser provided the key to getting his conviction dismissed.

Banks had a choice: He could take the he said-she said case to trial and, if convicted, risk being sentenced to 41 years to life in prison. Or, as his lawyer advised, he could accept a plea deal.

WOW. That woman ruined his life by lying. He was going to go to college to play football and she lied and ruined his reputation. Not only that, but her family sued the school and won $1.5 million dollars while he was in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. I’m glad his case was overturned. I’m in shock at how horrible & dirty this is.

Am I wrong to think that this is tragic? Why would people lie about rape. Rape isn’t something you play around with. Especially false accusations.  I’m really upset at all of this.
